The Coromandel is located on the Pacific Coast Highway – on the east coast of New Zealand’s North Island. With Moehau at the northern end and the Karangahake Gorge and the Hauraki Plains at the southern end, the region is located within a 90-minute drive of the major centres of Auckland, Hamilton, Rotorua and their international airports.

Note:

SH25A Kōpū-Hikuai Road: OPEN.

If you’ve heard bad things about the weather and our roads – that’s a thing of the past. It’s all fixed now, we even have a brand-spanking new bridge over the hill to Tairua!

All our roads are open and in good shape, and they’re generally not very busy in spring (the time of the festival).
